I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6

THE NAME THAT SAVES

The Holy Scripture teaches us that changing one letter changes the name to a completely different one.

𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝟭𝟳:𝟱. „No longer will you be called 𝑨𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒎; your name will be 𝑨𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒎, for I have made you a father of many nations.”

𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝟭𝟳:𝟭𝟱. „God also said to Abraham, “𝑨𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒊 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒊𝒇𝒆, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒊; 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝑺𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒉.”

Even though the difference in these names was small, it had great significance for our God.

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟭:𝟮𝟭. „She will give birth to a son, and you are to 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒀𝒆𝒔𝒉𝒖 (𝑺𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒐𝒓), because he will save his people from their sins.””

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟭:𝟮𝟱. „But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Yeshu.”

𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟮:𝟮𝟭. „On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, 𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒅 𝒀𝒆𝒔𝒉𝒖, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒎 before he was conceived.”

𝗛𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝟲:𝟭𝟬. „For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 that you have shown 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 in serving the saints, as you still do.”

𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟰:𝟭. „Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.”

𝗛𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝟭𝟯:𝟭𝟱. „Through Yeshu, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒇𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆.”

𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟮:𝟵-𝟭𝟬. „Therefore God exalted him to the highest place 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒈𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆, 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒀𝒆𝒔𝒉𝒖 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒌𝒏𝒆𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒐𝒘, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,”

𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮:𝟭𝟯. „I know where you live—where Satan has his throne. 𝒀𝒆𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒚 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆. You did not renounce your faith in me, not even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city—where Satan lives.”

𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟯:𝟴. „I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒚 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆.”

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟮𝟭:𝟭𝟯. „Then Paul answered, “Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? 𝑰 𝒂𝒎 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚 not only to be bound, but also 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒊𝒆 in Jerusalem 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒀𝒆𝒔𝒉𝒖.””

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟱:𝟮𝟴. „“𝑾𝒆 𝒈𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒕 𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆,” he said. “Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.””

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟱:𝟰𝟬. „His speech persuaded them. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they 𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒀𝒆𝒔𝒉𝒖, and let them go.”

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟱:𝟰𝟭. „The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of 𝒔𝒖𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒂𝒎𝒆.”

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟵:𝟭𝟱-𝟭𝟲. „But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must 𝒔𝒖𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒚 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆.””

𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝟭𝟱:𝟮𝟭. „They will treat you this way 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒚 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆, for they do not know the one who sent me.”

𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟮𝟭:𝟭𝟮. „“But before all this, they will seize you and 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all 𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒚 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆.”

𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟮𝟭:𝟭𝟳. „You will be hated by all 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒚 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆’𝒔 𝒔𝒂𝒌𝒆.”

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝟭𝟯:𝟭𝟯. „And you 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 by all 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒚 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆’𝒔 𝒔𝒂𝒌𝒆. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟮𝟰:𝟵. „“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and 𝒑𝒖𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉, and you will be hated by all nations 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒚 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆’𝒔 𝒔𝒂𝒌𝒆.”

𝟭𝟬. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲

𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟮𝟭:𝟴. „He replied: “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come 𝒊𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them.”

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝟭𝟯:𝟲. „Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒚.”

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟮𝟰:𝟱. „For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.”

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟳:𝟮𝟮. „Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’”

𝟭𝟭. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝗱

𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟭𝟬:𝟭𝟳. „The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons 𝒔𝒖𝒃𝒎𝒊𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒖𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆.””

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝟵:𝟯𝟴-𝟯𝟵. „“Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons 𝒊𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.” “Do not stop him,” Yeshu said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me,”.

An unauthorized attempt to use the name Yeshu ended with being beaten by a demon.

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟭𝟵:𝟭𝟯. „Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Yeshu over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Yeshu whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.”

The name has power not in itself, but from God or the Son of God, who makes the name powerful.

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟰:𝟯𝟬. „𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍 and perform signs and wonders 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 of your holy servant Yeshu.”

𝟭𝟮. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱

𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟭𝟬:𝟭𝟮-𝟭𝟯. „𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝑱𝒆𝒘 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒆—𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒍𝒍 and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.””

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟰:𝟭𝟮. „Salvation is found in no one else, 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏 given to mankind by which we must be saved.””

The above verses are widely disregarded by Christians. Those who should worship the name of the Lord Yeshu argue that it does not matter what name we use. Will you, the reader, appreciate and understand the message contained in these verses? It depends on whether you are worthy of it, because understanding and faith in the name of Yeshu is a gift of the Holy Spirit, not a result of understanding or innate intelligence. After reading these verses, some will fall to their knees and thank God for understanding and for giving us a name by which we will be saved, while others will shrug their shoulders and even begin to fight the true name of Christ.

Why is that? Here’s the answer:

𝟭 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟭𝟮:𝟯. „Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Yeshu be cursed,” and no one can say, “Yeshu is Lord,” 𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒚 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕.”

So if you believe that the name of Yeshu is the only one that brings salvation, then our Lord has reached out to you and now it is your turn to make a move.

Of course, in this booklet I have not presented proof that this particular name is correct, but I have shown that only the name that the angel brought from heaven for Christ gives salvation. Now you should establish the correct pronunciation and then answer the question once put to Paul:

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟮𝟮:𝟭𝟲. „𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓? Get up, be immersed and wash your sins away, calling on his name.’”

On the cover of this booklet I have included the spelling of the name of the Savior from the times of His time. On the left is the Hebrew-Aramaic way of writing and on the right the Greek. Notice that they are almost identical. In the Hebrew version it is
SH, and in Greek there was no such sound, so it is most similar S. The last letter ayin has no correspondence in Greek, because it is a silent sound.

The Greek language, unlike the Hebrew language, declined names by case, adding endings. This is how the masculine form Jesus came into being. Unfortunately, this Latin way of writing became the reason for deriving incorrect names. In the Middle Ages, loyalty to the Latin Church was more important than to Christ. The Church imposed a way of writing, but did not ensure correct reading, and so for some Y is H, for others G, and for still others I.
