We have enough information about the Antichrist to recognize him, but that does not mean that everyone will be vigilant enough to do so. Many will be deceived by his arguments. The Messenger (apostle) John wrote in 𝟏 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟐:𝟏𝟖,𝟏𝟗 as you have heard, the Antichrist is coming, for now many Antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us.

 

So there are many different Antichrists, and in this case they are people who preach another Christ. In this described case, the Antichrist comes from the internal structures of Christianity. John lists certain characteristics associated with this other Christ.

 

𝟏 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟐:𝟐𝟐 „But who is the liar, if not the one who denies that Yeshu is the Anointed One?…”

 

Yeshu is the Anointed One (Messiah, Christ) and was born as such, not as a result of the Spirit entering upon him, as the Antichrist claims. The Messiah did not come in the spirit but in the flesh.

 

𝟐 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟐:𝟕 „For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess that Yeshu Christ has come in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.”

 

𝟏 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟐:𝟐𝟐 „…This is the antichrist, who does not confess the Father and the Son.”

 

The Antichrist is therefore someone who claims that the Father and the Son are one and the same person, i.e. does not distinguish between their separate personalities, as well as someone who does not recognize one of these persons. Note, reader, that John knows nothing about the trinity and completely ignores the role of the Holy Spirit in salvation. Recognizing the Spirit is not a necessary condition for salvation, but what if someone later convinces otherwise? John will answer this question right away.

 

𝟏 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟐:𝟐𝟑 „Anyone who does not acknowledge the Son does not have the Father either; but whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.”

 

It is not enough to believe in God; you must also believe in his Son, who is the Anointed One (Christ). The way to God is through his Son, Yeshu the Anointed One.

 

𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏𝟒:𝟔 „Yeshu answered him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

 

𝟏 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟐:𝟐𝟒 „But you hold within yourselves what you have heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.”

 

Therefore, we must avoid all so-called new light, that is, everything that does not come from the truth already revealed to us in the pages of the Holy Scriptures. No councils will proclaim new truth, for there is no new truth. Everything that we need to know has already been revealed to us, and if something is not in the Scriptures, it does not come from God and Christ, but from another source.

 

𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝟏:𝟑 „Beloved, since I have been diligent in writing to you about our common salvation, I have found it necessary to write to you to exhort you to contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.”

 

𝟐 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟐:𝟏𝟓 „Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold the traditions that you have learned, whether by word or by our letter.”

 

In order for the Antichrist to triumph, he must convince us that he has discovered something that is not written in the Holy Scriptures or he must reveal to us a new understanding. In such a case we often encounter the argument that „the scripture does not say it directly, but it is in the spirit of the scripture” or „it can be read between the lines”, etc. These are all schemes of the antichrist and the false prophet.

 

John predicts the apostasy, which in his opinion has already begun. Many years earlier Paul wrote about the man of lawlessness. He is commonly considered the antichrist, even though Paul does not use this word.

 

𝟐 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟐:𝟑 „Let no one deceive you in any way, for [the Lord will not come] unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits in the temple of God, showing himself to be God.”

 

It seems that Paul is talking about the same thing that John will later write. According to his words, the antichrist is to take the place of God, he will prove that he himself is God. We recognize such a Christ as Paul writes in the one and only trinity, but we do not know such a one from the New Testament Scriptures. On the contrary, this true Anointed One and Son of God never desired to be equal to his Father.

 

𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟐:𝟔 „Who, being in the form of God, did not claim equality with God.”

 

And the preachers of the antichrist, on the contrary, their Christ is equal to the Father, and as if that were not enough, they gave him other names. Such as God did not command Mary and Joseph by the angel. Paul writes further to the Philippians:

 

𝟐 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟐:𝟖 „then the Lawless One will appear, whom the Lord Yeshu will destroy with the breath of his mouth and will destroy by the revelation of his coming.”

 

The above information, together with what John wrote, informs us that the antichrist will be in power from the time of John until the return of the true Christ, who will destroy him with his return. How this will happen is precisely described in other prophecies. For now, let us return to Paul’s description:

 

𝟐 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟐:𝟗-𝟏𝟐 „And his coming will be accompanied by the working of Satan with all power, and signs, and false wonders, with all deception of unrighteousness to those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God allows a deception to work on them, so that they may believe the lie, so that all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

 

Did the preachers of the antichrist, who were other Christians, perform signs and false wonders? Of course they did. They do them to this day. It does not matter whether they are Catholics or Protestants, they sometimes refer to miracles. At the same time, they accuse each other that it is the latter who perform false miracles and they only perform true miracles. There are also religious groups that do not rely on miracles, e.g. Jehovah’s Witnesses, but they are part of a larger whole, one of the varieties of lies that are to deceive people. I prove that Jehovah’s Witnesses are one of the antichrists in the book ” How to Help Jehovah’s Witnesses Know the Truth „.

 

In addition to miraculous signs, the method of deception is false non-biblical teachings such as the Trinity, but also many others. Paul, wanting to protect the followers of the Anointed One from being deceived, gives the same warning as John:

 

𝟐 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟐:𝟏𝟓 „Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold on to the teaching that has been passed down to you, which you have learned, whether by word or by our letter.”

 

This is another encouragement not to accept new „truths” but to hold on to what was from the beginning, according to the principle that the first is the truth and the second is its distortion. What I have written now is nothing new, if you are a regular reader of this blog, you have already learned about this topic in the article „The Apostle Paul reveals the antichrist . Now I would like to present to you a broader concept of the antichrist. As you probably know, practically all of Christianity expects the antichrist to appear briefly at the very end of the appointed times, just before Armageddon. The fact that John discovered antichrists during his lifetime does not mean that some exceptional one will not appear at some point. It is possible and even very likely. John wrote about many antichrists, which means that they can be various heresies and very diverse methods of deception so that everyone can find a bait. If this antichrist does not inspire your trust, maybe another one will.

 

Satan will save his masterful „knockout” trick for last. The last antichrist will be the deceptive return of Christ. He will pretend that he has returned as promised, this will be the version for Christians, and for Jews it will be the version that he is the one they have been waiting for so persistently. This will be facilitated by the successes of the state of Israel, which will grow into a great military power .

 

There are many prophecies from the Old Testament that speak of this, it is worth analyzing them in detail. I will not be able to describe it all today, but if it is God’s will, I will try to finish the topic within a week, or at the latest in a week. The prophecies are so precise that they even say how many countries Israel will defeat before 10 kings recognize his dominance and surrender to his service. When this happens, there will be forced worship of the antichrist, and those who do not agree will be economically persecuted (they will not be able to buy and sell) and will be physically eliminated.
