“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” πŸ’Ž (Mt 6:19-21)

This wise passage from the Sermon on the Mount is Yeshu’s lesson on true values and priorities! ✨ Yeshu does not condemn wealth in itself – after all, God can bless us with talents for earning, as shown in the Parable of the Talents (Mt 25:14-30). But He warns against selfishly hoarding treasures only for oneself on earth, where everything is fleeting: moths destroy, rust corrodes, and thieves steal. πŸ˜”

Instead, He encourages us to invest in “treasures in heaven” – through good deeds, generosity (by properly managing the talent of wealth creation), love, and service to others, which have eternal value. If God has given you a talent for earning, use it to help those in need, build the Kingdom, and share your blessings – because where your treasure is, there your heart will be also! ❀️ This is a call to a life where material things serve a higher purpose rather than becoming an idol.

In today’s world of consumerism and the pursuit of wealth, these words remind us that the true treasure is a relationship with God and the impact we have on the lives of others – these are the things that will last for eternity! 🌟

**Reflection for today:** Consider where your “treasure” is – in earthly things or in heaven? πŸ€” If you have a talent for earning, how can you use it to help others and gather eternal wealth? Ask God for wisdom to direct your heart toward what is lasting. πŸ™ Remember, generosity does not impoverish – it multiplies blessings!

If this verse touched you, share your reflection in the comments below! 😊❀️ or write “amen.”

Glory to Yeshu ❀️
