β€œShow to one another love like to close relatives. Go ahead of one another in showing respect,” (Romans 12:10)

Today’s word from Paul is very practical. It does not speak only about β€œfaith in the heart,” but about the fact that faith should be visible in how we treat people day by day. Love is to be β€œshown” β€” that is, to be something tangible in behavior. Paul also gives its picture: like toward close relatives. This is love that is close, caring, ready to support, and present especially when it is difficult, when there is a difference of opinions, or when one needs to show patience instead of indifference.

Then a second pillar appears: respect. Paul does not write that we should wait until someone first shows dignity, but that we should go ahead of one another in showing respect. That means that in a relationship the attitude and the direction matter: you have to choose worthy words, kindness, a calm reaction, and to not destroy the other person with language or contempt. Respect then becomes a tool for building, not for hurting.

Reflection for today: is love in your relationships β€œclose” and present, and does respect go ahead of words and emotions? If so, then your faith is not only theory, but a daily expression of God’s truth. Make one step today: show care where usually there is indifference, and show respect before someone has time to demand it.

GLORY TO YESHU!!!
