“He himself also appointed some as envoys [apostles], others as prophets, others as proclaimers of good news, and others as shepherds and teachers, to equip the pure for the work of ministry, for the building of the anointed body, until we all reach the unity of faith and full knowledge of the Son of God, to male maturity, to the measure of adulthood of the anointed fullness, so that we would no longer be children, tossed by waves and carried around by every wind of teaching in human deception, in trickery leading to error.” 🌊⚓

Today’s verses show us a wonderful, but also demanding God’s plan for each of us. 📜 Notice that the roles of shepherds and teachers are not for them to do all the work for others, but to *equip* us for action! 🛠️ We ourselves must step out with initiative and take up the “work of ministry”. God gives us support, but it is we who must grab the tools. 🤲 “Until we all reach male maturity” – this is not a promise of passivity, this is a call to intense work on our spirit. ✨ God wants us to build the Body, the necessary condition however is our full commitment and development. ❤️‍🔥

This motive is extremely important when we realize who we are to resemble – our Lord, Yeshu. 🕊️ However, my attention in this fragment is especially drawn by verse 14, which is a strong warning against the world surrounding us. The world is like an agitated sea of human deceptions and trickeries. 🌊 Most people, remaining spiritual children, let themselves easily be carried away by the waves of false doctrines and comfortable teachings. Our goal is spiritual adulthood, which becomes a powerful anchor. Building one’s life and mind on the Truth and the name of our Savior, Yeshu! 🔥

**Reflection for today** 💭 Reflect on how your commitment to building the community looks? 🤝 Are you aware that God expects from you spiritual work and growing up, and not just passive listening? 📖 Reflect also whether you are resistant today to the manipulations of the world? And what if you let yourself be carried away by what is currently fashionable, like a “wind of teaching”? 🚶‍♂️ Ask Lord Yeshu in prayer for strength and wisdom to achieve maturity in faith. Do not forget that it is you who must want to throw off spiritual childhood from yourself! 🧭
