“Because of the name of our Lord Yeshu the Anointed, I appeal to you, brothers, to speak all the same thing and that there be no division among you, but that you be fitted together with one thought and one reasoning.” (1 Cor 1:10)
The apostle Paul’s verse for today is an instruction for building our community in the spirit of one thought and one reasoning. It emphasizes that our speech should be the same. It’s not about speaking the word for word the same thing, but that the message be adjusted with Biblical truth, and that it be reflected in our words—confirming our agreement of faith. Today we will look at the agreement that the Apostles reflected.
The apostle Paul begins his argument with very interesting words: “Because of the name of our Lord Yeshu the Anointed,” which raise questions: Why “because of the name”? Why did Paul put it that way? He could have written it in another way, e.g. “Because of our Lord Yeshu the Anointed.” It’s good to think about what Paul meant by writing it this way. It is clearly shown that he emphasizes the value of the Name of our Lord Yeshu. A value that was emphasized by the spirit of the same thought by the other Apostles as well—and even under the guidance of the Holy Breath.
Acts 4:8-12 “Then Peter, being filled with the Holy Breath, replied to them… And there is no salvation in anyone else, nor has any other name been given to men under heaven, in which we must be saved.”
Peter not only confirms how important the Name of our Lord YESHU is, but even more exalts its value to the only Name over all the world IN WHICH WE MUST BE SAVED.
Calling on the NAME is also a necessary condition for attaining the honor of salvation. The apostle Paul noted this in Romans 10:12-13:
“Because there is no longer a division between Judeans and the rest of the people. There is one Lord, the same for all people, generous to everyone who will call on Him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Paul emphasizes that all people have one Lord, and He has the only Name that SAVES.
Notice this inseparable unity of thought in the preaching of the Apostles. Their speech confirmed their agreement because it was directed through “the Holy Breath.” This is the most important teaching that shows how both God the Father and our Lord Yeshu want you to turn to them. It is confirmed by the closest disciples of Christ—the Apostles. A far more reliable source than today’s religions and their philosophies.
Reflection for today: Are you ready consciously to accept the fullness of the Holy Scriptures’ message, in which names have high value, and the message is consistent because it is led by the Holy Spirit? Are you capable of introducing into your life a relationship with Christ on His conditions? Remember: His Name is YESHU, and the condition is to call on the Lord by His one and only Name in which we must be saved.
Do not leave your future for the last moment—start acting today for your salvation. Instead of seeking knowledge from pseudo-spiritual people, start seeking for yourself. It is you who are responsible for whether you will attain salvation, and today’s message let be a spark that will urge you to action.
GLORY TO YESHU!
