“Owe no one anything except mutual love. For he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the Law.” ❀️ (Rom 13:8)

This verse is a powerful foundation for the passage we analyzed earlier (verses 9-10). Saint Paul uses a brilliant metaphor of debt here. In a world where we try to pay off all obligations to be free, Paul points to one unique “debt” that we will never fully pay off: **mutual love**. πŸ’Έβž‘οΈβ€οΈ

This is an “indebtedness” that, instead of burdening us, gives us freedom! Why? Because love is the driving motor of everything. It is what makes the commandments we read about in the following verses (do not kill, do not steal, do not commit adultery) become a natural lifestyle rather than a heavy duty. When you “pay” with love, you automatically fulfill the entire Law of God. It is a lifestyle where the heart precedes the paragraphs! ✨

**Reflection for today:** Do you have a “debt” of a good word, forgiveness, or help toward someone? πŸ€” Remember that love is the only currency whose value grows when we give it away. Referring to the words that “love does no evil” (v. 10), consider: to whom can you bring peace today instead of conflict? Ask the Holy Spirit to help you perceive every person you encounter as someone to whom you owe love. πŸ•ŠοΈβ€οΈ

If you feel that you want to live without other debts, but with a heart full of this Divine love – write **Amen**! πŸ™πŸ’– Share in the comments what “being a debtor of love” means to you! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘‡
