“In the same way, the Breath also supports our helplessness; for what we should pray for, how to do it correctly, we do not know, but the Breath itself intercedes with unspeakable sighs.” ποΈ (Rom 8:26)
β¨ Paul emphasizes that in our weaknesses β when we feel helpless, lost, or unable to pray properly β the Breath (the Holy Spirit) comes to help. π Often we do not know what to pray for or how to do it “correctly” β our words fail, hearts are heavy, and thoughts are tangled. But the Spirit does not leave us alone: it intercedes for us with “unspeakable sighs,” that is, deep, unutterable groans that perfectly express our needs before God (Rom 8:27). This Breath supports, strengthens, and prays in us when we cannot β what a grace! π In today’s world, full of stress and uncertainty, these words remind us that prayer does not depend only on our strength, but on the Spirit who works in us and for us.
**Reflection for today:** Consider whether, in moments of weakness, you allow the Holy Spirit to intercede for you? π€ Trust that His sighs are more effective than your words? Ask God for the Breath to support your prayer and give you peace. π Remember, even when you are silent, the Spirit speaks for you β this is the promise of God’s closeness! π
