“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief {in the night}; in which the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the burning elements will be dissolved, and the earth and the works upon it will not be found. Since all these things are to be dissolved in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy [pure] conduct and godliness.” πŸ”₯πŸŒŸπŸ•°οΈ

These words of Peter are like a bolt from the blue – a staggering vision of the end that awakens the heart to life! Peter, this fisherman-apostle, wrote around 64-68 AD from Babylon to believers hounded by false teachers who mocked Yeshu’s return: “Where is the promise of His coming?” (v. 4). He isn’t trying to terrify, but is calling out: the Day of the Lord will come like a thief – unexpectedly, with the roar of the heavens and fire purifying the earth. This is not an apocalypse of horror, but of purification – like refining gold in a furnace to reveal eternal glory! πŸŒ‹βœ¨

But Peter’s question hits the mark: what kind of people ought you to be? Holy, pure, godly – because the end is not a punishment, but a call to a life full of God starting today!

Here is the essence: it is all in the name of Yeshu the Anointed (י֡שׁוּגַ, Savior), the One who will return as Judge and Savior. Cry out His name with hunger – it will not only prepare you for that day (Acts 4:12) but purify your heart here and now! Other “names”? Beware – they may belong to spiritual imposters who are **usurpers of the name of Yeshu**, stealing His identity and leading to false hope (2 Cor 11:4).

The true Yeshu? He gives the strength for a holy life: forgive, love, serve – for earthly “works” will burn, but those done in Him? They last forever! Imagine: instead of chasing the moment, you are building a treasury in heaven – relationships, acts of love that will survive the fire. This is godliness that shines like a lighthouse in the dark! πŸ’ŽπŸ™Œ

Be encouraged: the end of the world is not the end of hope, but the beginning of fullness! Live in holiness – in the name of Yeshu – and watch as your days burn with glory, not fear. He is coming – be ready! πŸŒ…

**Challenge for today:** Choose one “conduct” (e.g., a relationship with a loved one, a habit) and “purify” it in the name of Yeshu: pray, ask for forgiveness, serve. Write down what changed – how does it build eternity? Share it with someone to inspire them! πŸ“–πŸ˜Š

**Prayer for today:** Yeshu the Anointed, prepare me for Your day! Give me the strength for a holy life, purify my works in Your name – let them burn with love, not sin. Let godliness be my radiance, and You – my eternity. Amen! πŸ™πŸ”₯
