“Behave wisely toward those who are outside, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” 🌟🙏

Today, Paul gives us a powerful call regarding our life and our testimony in the world. This is not only about what we do in the congregation, but first of all about how we live “among those who are outside” — among people who have not yet come to know Lord Yeshu. 🤔 It is a reminder that our life is a letter being read by others.

What guidance does he give us? Paul highlights two key areas:

First: “Behave wisely… making the most of the time.” 🕰️ This is an invitation to a strategic, intentional life. “Outside” means people from beyond our community of faith. Our behavior toward them should be wise, discerning, and full of respect. And “making the most of the time” doesn’t mean wasting precious moments, but consciously investing them in spiritual matters—using every opportunity so that our life witnesses to Christ. To be a mindful ambassador of faith in every moment! 🕊️

Second: “Let your speech… always be gracious, seasoned with salt…” 🧂

The Christian’s words should be unique! Salt in ancient times preserved, added flavor, and purified. Our words should therefore be lasting, interesting, clean, and—importantly—full of grace, but also truth. “Seasoned with salt” means your speech is not bland or empty; it builds up, encourages, and can reach the heart. 💪 And the goal? To always be ready— with respect and understanding— to answer anyone who asks about the hope we have.

These two elements—wise conduct and speech seasoned with salt—work together as one. Our life and our words together should make the Gospel credible in the eyes of the world. This is not only about avoiding mistakes, but actively building bridges and being effective! 💖

Reflection for Today 💭

Is your conduct among people “outside” wise and intentional? Are you consciously “making the most of the time,” using every moment to do good and to witness about your faith? And what about your words? Are they “seasoned with salt”—full of flavor, truth, and grace—ready to build up and to respond to people’s needs? Today, take a moment to consider how you can better integrate your life and your words so that you may be an even more effective witness for Christ/Yeshu! ☀️

If this message touched your heart today—leave an Amen! 🙏💖
