β€œA disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for a disciple that he become like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household!” πŸ™πŸ•ŠοΈ (Matthew 10:24-25)

Let us reflect on this profound truth, spoken by Yeshu to His disciples. These words speak of more than mere imitation. It is a call to complete identification with the Master. Being a disciple of Yeshu means consenting to become like Him, not only in His teaching or mercy, but also in His destiny. The path of a true follower is a path that, with time, becomes indistinguishable from the path of the Teacher Himself.

The key message is hidden in the warning: β€œIf they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household!” Let us remember that Yeshu, who was without sin and did only the will of the Father, met with the most severe accusations – He was called an associate of the prince of demons! This blasphemous slander was a blow to His divine nature and mission. Yeshu leaves no illusions: if He, as the “Master of the house,” met with such rejection and slander, then His “household,” that is, we, His disciples, should not expect better treatment.

However, this is not a reason for discouragement. Quite the opposite! This prophecy is also an strengthening. Persecutions, misunderstanding, and even false accusations that may befall a disciple on this path are not a sign of failure. They become proof of our authentic belonging to Yeshu. In the difficulties and rejection of the world, we find our deepest identity with Him. Our suffering ceases to be accidental; it becomes a testimony that we are following in the footsteps of our Master. This is “solid food” that prepares us for the realities of the mission and strengthens us in the face of all adversities.
