βLove is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.β β€οΈ (1 Cor 13:4-5)
This passage from Paulβs “Hymn to Love” is a portrait of perfect loveβnot a sentimental emotion, but an active attitude! β¨ Love is patient (enduring through difficulties), kind (full of goodness), free from envy and prideβit does not seek recognition and is not selfish. It does not behave indecently, does not seek its own advantage, is not irritable (harsh), and keeps no record of wrongs (does not hold grudges). This is the love of Christ, which forgives and builds up (1 Cor 13:13). In today’s world of ego-based relationships, these words call us to imitate this love in marriage, friendship, and everyday lifeβit endures all things!
**Reflection for today:** Think about which qualities of this love you want to practice today? π€ Are you patient, kind, and forgiving? Ask God for the grace so that your love may be like Hisβeverlasting! π Remember, without love, everything is emptyβit is the greatest of all! π
