“We speak of what the Scripture previously announced: ‘What eye has not seen and ear has not heard’ and has not entered the heart, what God has prepared for those who love Him.” β¨ (1 Cor 2:9)
This verse from the 1st Letter to the Corinthians, quoting the prophet Isaiah (Isa 64:4), is a stunning promise of God’s mysteries! π Paul emphasizes that God’s plans for those who love Him exceed human imagination β invisible to the eye, inaudible to the ear, and inconceivable to the heart.
These are not abstract dreams, but real, wonderful things prepared not only in heaven: eternal joy, peace, and closeness with Him, revealed through the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 2:10). In today’s world, where we focus on the visible and material, these words awaken hope β God has something for us much greater than we can imagine, if only we love Him and trust! π This is an encouragement to live by faith, not by sight (2 Cor 5:7).
Reflection for today: Consider whether your love for God allows you to wait for these “inconceivable” things? π€ Do you trust that His plans are better than your dreams? Ask God for the revelation of these mysteries in your life β love Him with all your heart, and you will see miracles! π Remember, what God has prepared is worth every sacrifice β it will last for eternity! β€οΈ
